Whether you have danced professionally or have never danced before and are looking for a new and fun form of exercise, you will feel comfortable in the supportive yet rigorous environment of the adult classes offered at the Ballet Studio. Expect to be challenged — and to get a great workout.
A Note about Attire:
Adults are welcome to wear any form-fitting clothing as one would wear for Pilates or yoga.
Socks are fine for beginners.
alignment floor work
This half hour class teaches the Berg method. Designed originally for the professional ballet dancer, the Berg method of using various exercises on the floor to correct alignment, rotation, proper muscle development, centering and balance. The Berg method also works wonderfully for non dancers as well. Exercises are designed for a multitude of injury prevention and strength building. All levels are welcome.
Our Beginning Ballet class is designed especially for adults wishing to learn the fundamentals of classical ballet. No experience or prior knowledge of ballet is required.
Our Intermediate Ballet course offers a friendly learning environment tailored to adults with basic ballet skills. This class will help you refine and improve your working knowledge of classical ballet.
intermediate / advanced ballet
The Intermediate / Advanced course is designed for adult ballet dancers who have already achieved a high level of technical skill or have danced professionally, offering these skilled dancers an ideal venue to hone and further their skills. We also welcome motivated intermediate-level dancers to attend these classes.
